*What are your order minimums?
Domestic production offers a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 5,000 pieces. Overseas, our MOQ is also 5,000 pieces. Stock bag imprint options are available for orders less than 5,000 pieces.

*Are custom sizes available?
Custom sizes are available if quantity minimums can be met. For domestic production, our machines require a minimum custom size quantity of 50M pieces. For overseas production, there is only a 5M piece minimum for custom sizes as most bags are folded by hand.

*What are your lead times?
Typically, our domestic lead times for paper bags range from 4-6 weeks. However, depending upon the current workload in the factory, we can sometimes improve and shorten the turnaround time. Overseas, our lead times average anywhere from 8-12 weeks, depending upon the product being manufactured. Please inquire with your Pack America sales consultant if you have an emergency need. No request is considered “out of the question”.

*What types of printing do you do?
We offer paper bags printed by offset lithography, gravure and flexographic means. We offer plastic bags printed by gravure or flexographic means. For some products, silk screen printing is utilized. Foil stamping, lamination, and UV application are also available.

*How do you proof the bag designs?
In the USA, we offer high resolution Dupont water proofs, 3M matchprints and HP digital proofs. Overseas, we typically submit a preproduction bag as a proof.

*How can I request samples?
Please click on the “contact us” header on the home page and locate the regional office nearest you. You can also email us at info@pack-america.com and we will reply back to you the same day. We always strive to send out samples as quickly as possible because we are proud of our products and eager to share our work with our potential clients.

*How much does a bag cost?
That depends upon many factors including style, size, design and quantity. Please contact us to discuss your individual project needs. Our sales consultants will listen and help identify the right product for your program. We work hard to get most quotes calculated and submitted to our clientele by the very next business day.

*What are the key differences between domestic and import paper bags?

The main difference is how the handle is applied. Overseas bags in most cases feature a hand tied knotted handle. In the USA, we apply the handle entirely by machine. Our bag making machines in Kansas can only make fold-over top bags – featuring our unique J-cut turned top construction.

*Do you utilize any hand labor for domestic bags?
No, our USA made bags are done entirely by high-speed machine. In about 60 linear feet, a sheet enters the machine and exits as a completely folded, glued product.

*Do you make bags from specialty papers?
Domestically, we can present a variety of textured papers if certain minimum quantities are met. Offshore, a wide array of papers is available. The best way to proceed is to submit a paper sample to your Pack America sales consultant for review.

*Do you own your own factories?
In most cases, yes. Here in the USA, we are sole owners of our Lenexa, KS facility. Overseas, our parent corporation The Pack Corp. owns and operates 4 factories. For some specialty bag products, we use factories in which The Pack Corp. has invested capital and technological resources. Those partner facilities operate as an extension of our parent company – maintaining the high quality standards employed by The Pack Corp.

*What about warehousing?
Most custom bag programs operate under a “make and ship” protocol. As such, we have not faced much demand for warehousing our product. If your needs include warehousing, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We are always open and flexible to our clients’ needs.

If your question is not found here, please contact us at info@pack-america.com and we will strive to provide your answers that same day.
